The Bitterne Park Hotel, at Bitterne Triangle? Yes it got closed down. Many, many moons ago, in my twenties, it was my local, back then I only lived 5 doors down from it. I did some hard drinking in there then, how I never became an alcoholic I'll never know. I was teetotal for 20 years after my daughter was born. Now I will only drink in moderation and avoid getting inebriated, I don't like it, feeling ill is not on my fun list. Going to the pub is just to socialise and to have a meal with a couple of pints of real ale, so neither of us has to cook. Being diagnosed has changed my outlook on life, I intend to enjoy going out while I am still able to and can afford it.

Just off for my walkies now before it gets too warm.

Blue skies again, its hell down south! Are you allowed to give your 4 legged friends treats or is that a dietary no no?............skisx

in reply to skischool

For us forest ppl it's a dietary no way ...but the grockles (holiday makers ) have sometimes been known which isn't great for there insides it's a shame what people will do to get a picture of a pony and there family...they can get very agitated and kick out terrible sunny days hows your weathet and don't say rain lol xx

When the tyke wife was new we went and stayed with my grandad on dartmoor. Walking back from a pub lunch in nearby village we came across a group of ponies. Wife was impressed with cuteness (?) and asked us to stand behind them for a photo. We both instantly responded with a sharp "NO". If you stand behind a pony you get kicked. If you get too close to the front end you get bitten. It is illegal to feed them as it attracts them to the roads and people.

No Cecilia is from Bolivia land of Alpacas and Coca plantations, the Finca was to be our retirement home with a hectare of Olive trees,Almonds, cherries, peaches, plumbs, figs, walnuts et al.all set on 3 levels and surrounded by pine trees. Our little piece of rural heaven.hard work to maintain but well worth the effort. The aim now is to get fit and healthier so i can make her dream a reality.Sorry got to go now feel a blub comming on.Enjoy your weekend me dear..............................skisxx

Hi, my wife and I have a retired old pony living on the Beaulieu estate with my sister in laws horse. Horses are amazing creatures, have really helped my head lots of times. Very empathic I believe.
