Fit to fly ?

Can anybody tell me what is involved in a 'fit to fly test' my pulmonary nurse wants me to have one.

When I had fitness to fly tests it included all of the following:

The hypoxic challenge test lasted for about 30 minutes.

Hi Angie, Hoping to go sightseeing for a few day in Paris with my grandaughter (she's 20) as well as Disneyland of course, all be well with this test. See your off on your hols hope you have a nice time .... and get some great pics to show us lolxxx

Hi Peg, fit to fly test is very similar to lung function test. It's carried out in same laboratory and I got the results straight away. Can I fly? Do I need oxygen whilst in air? You'll receive all this info. Good luck, nothing to worry about. I hope you don't need oxygen to fly as it's another 'pain' we have to deal with. Joy x

Thanks Joy, my Dr says he thinks I'll be ok but still wants me to have the test to make sure,suppose he's right, I'm glad to hear I get the results right away.
