hi pinky..i saw the add your talking about, i think it was on fox news, and thought it to be really really good. i think its trying to make smokers feel a little bit guilty that they smoke.

dont let it get to you so much, i used to be like you when i was frist diagnosed but slowly i stoped caring as there nothing little me can do anyway.

all i do now is try and relax and avoid smokers. car fumes, dust, stress, and hope for the best.

Never say give up .stay positive n we United can make a change. I don't know your age but I grew up at a time when we marched against our beliefs such as Viet nam..freedom n equality equal rights for women..I will never up. I will fight tobacco co. To remove the addictive things they Put in cigarettes n more ads about what smoking does to u n others. Someone has to take responsibitry. Wean out the carcingens raise prices of cigarettes to a ridiculously expensive price . it takes 1 voice to startvn hope others join. Namaste

An addict is by definition addicted. The way to get people to stop smoking isn't to force more guilt on them but by encouraging them to give up by telling them they are strong and can do it. In other words build them up so they can rather than knock them down and make them feel bad.

I totally agree . Tuesday I told my mother no more smoking in my car she got mad at me!!. And when she went on a cruise there was no smoking on balconies but she didn't care. She paid a fine of 150 us dollars a day for A week to smoke.1000$ n she only stopped 4 months before she passed of bladder cancer due to smoking . at 88!

Well that's fair enough. When I was a smoker I wouldn't dream of smoking in other peoples cars or homes unless they said it was ok. I never even asked but if they came out and said it was fine I would just smoke the 1 and no more even if they urged me to.

I remember my cousin saying they have smoking friends and they really didn't mind it, I just had the one then went into their garden later to smoke another. My cousin was quite offended but I explained I couldn't smoke more than the 1 because I was much too polite even if they said it was fine. It was too ingrained in me :)

There are so many people young n knowledgable about cigarettes n choose to smoke. I don't understand it. There is this bar that I used to go to nearby. But the smokers inside out numbered the non smokers .so I can't go hear my friends band anymore. But I will go n sit outside n the owner who I have know for years said I can't be outside her bar with O2 is that legal? Cause she doesn't own the sidewalk. Help I really want to go n sit outside n tell her it's my right. I spend alot of money there. And i am outside of her bar .n she still says I am a liability. I don't think that is fair or legal. Would love feedback legally or morally thank u

I am sorry if I offended anyone. That isn't my intentions. I am passionate about how I feel . tobacco companies can put less nicotine in their product if government mandated am I correct?

raise prices of cigarettes to a ridiculously expensive price . <-- would penalise the families of smokers. Addicts don't care how much they spend.

You're right. If someone is addicted then they will pay whatever it costs no matter what else suffers because they really don't have any other choice. I think Hidden 's idea of offering support works much better.

That's not fair as it means the rich could still afford it. No - what they should do is ban it completely but it will have to be a worldwide ban otherwise there would be a flourishing black market.
