Simply sleep
Have you tried using a relaxation CD when you go to bed. There are some good ones around, but also some very strange ones too! I prefer the talking ones with flexing and tensing of muscles. Chamomile tea? Reading?
I hope that you find something that works for you. XXX
Can you take Nytol? I take half of the one a night tablets if I need it. I have hot chocolate at bedtime, I think a milky drink helps me. Used to buy Panadol night but it has disappeared off the shelves. Same ingredients as the nytol. could ask your doctor if that would be safe for you.
Fennel seed tea if chamomile tastes odd. I wear an eye mask and listen to gentle audio books to sleep. I also have black out curtains. I make sure I've done some physical activity during the day to tire myself out. I go to bed and get up at the same sort of time. I stop using electronic gadgets half an hour or more before I go to bed, by writing up my diary and reading from the Bible to calm wandering thoughts. As someone with autism, I naturally have a poor sleep pattern, but these things help.
