Thank You. It would be interesting to see the amount that was given to the mice.

Retinoid acid was trialled in 2001/2 when I was first diagnosed. No benefits were found though I read somewhere that maybe another form of retinoid acid might work better. Maybe a different form is what's being trialled now.

I think I have read at least a couple of tests on mice that showed successful regeneration of the lungs and we do know they (and we) have this capacity but then we seem to hear no more about them. After the last post on this subject I got to thinking about why that might be viz. why was there not a lot of money and resources being put into this research - I mean from our (the sufferers) point of view what could be better than our own bodies repairing themselves, and unfortunately I came to the, albeit, cynical conclusion that it was not at all in the interests of the large pharmaceutical companies (who have the most money and resources to guide and finance research projects) to find a cure, especially what is primarily a natural one, for not only is there little money in it for them, but could ultimately lose them millions. After all at the moment they are making a fortune developing and selling medications, inhalers etc. that 'manage' our condition, but do not cure it. I am sorry to be so cynical but this is how unfettered capitalism works - human life and suffering has no value unless it is a financial one.
