Do we notify DVLA and car insurance ppl that we have copd I never gave it a thought until my renewal has come through 😁
Do we notify : Do we notify DVLA and... - Lung Conditions C...
Do we notify
Unless you have a PIP or similar benefit you don't have to tell
DVLA of your condition. If you have those benefits with upper level mobility element you will be able to claim exemption from annual car tax. You will also be entitled to a motability car and then they pay the insurance. Blue Badge holders don't have to notify DVLA either. They are only interested in conditions which affect your ability to drive safely.
Only esa contributions benefit x
You won't have to tell them. Happy driving.xx
Thank you xxx
Normally me duck! only if your Doctor as advised you not to drive. Or you have an adaptation to your car or you get higher mobility. There are some grey areas due to medications under the DUI regulations concerning Prescription medications and driving.
No need unless it affects your ability to drive. Personally I would have said no need. COPD managed correctly shouldn't stop you doing anything you want, certainly not driving anyway. As for notifying your insurance company, absolutely not!!!! We all know that any excuse to bump up premiums is all they need. Use your head if you feel unfit to drive don't drive dont for heavens sake take away the independence most of us still enjoy by opening Pandoras Box!!!!!
Yea I think I get the drift ...i do use my head thank you
Hey, good luck with it anyway😉
