I have just been told I have bronchiectasis as it was picked up on a CT scan I had for something else – so, not so much a diagnosis, more a "we thought you already knew" – because I have no symptoms. No cough, no shortness of breath. Does anyone know if/when I will develop symptoms?

Hi there,

I am jenny and also have bronchiectasis.

You are blessed if you have no symptoms.there is no cure but help if your condition worsens

Physio, mucus tablets and nebuliser if needed.

My mucus becomes very thick and if it gets to the point i cannot cough it up,i tend to get infections which result quite often and i have antibiotics at home as you know when its about to start

At least you know now,if you do start a cough and mucus is thick its a change for you..hopefully remains like you are.

Hi I also have bronchiectasis, I think you should be able to be careful of infections, to ensure they don't cause any further symptoms. Good Luck
