Symbicort and URTI??

Hi,

I'm onto 4th urti infection since march? ( previously was always the last to get unwell) I started symbicort around September last year and have read that urti' can be a side affect? Has anyone else found this? Since starting the med I often have slight throat irration. Now another full blown head cold 🤧

In the list of 'less common' side effects there are:

'abdominal or stomach pain

bladder pain

bloody or cloudy urine

difficult, burning, or painful urination

frequent urge to urinate'.

And

'Genitourinary side effects have included urinary tract infections.'

Oh yes I see on that web page it's not listed in the main list but down the page it's stated under respiratory side affects

Hey Tinkz

I use symbicort, love it, it's made a big improvement in the amount of air trapping I have, hasn't caused a head cold tho.

If it's any consolation, forumites on another site I belong to have all been talking about the amount of colds, exacerbations, throat and sinus infections that are around this year. Hope you feel better soon.

Thank you cupcakes 😊 It probably has nothing to do with it, just with a lot of throat irritation and then repeat head colds and seeing it was a side affect wondered if anyone else experienced the same. I find symbicort works well for me though 😁 take care
