Swelled leggs
Hi and welcome, I would ask your GP or nurse about it if I were you. Please let us know how you know are and keep posting take care 😉 xxx Bernadette
There are numerous possible causes for this. The safest advice would be to see your GP.
If you look to the right you will see 'Related Posts' where others have posted asking about this. But remember, whilst many with COPD have swollen feet this does not mean COPD is always the cause and you should consult your doctor.

Welcome,
So many endless possibilities that you do have to consider actual medical advice. Better to be safe than sorry.
Please visit your GP, retaing fluid should be checked out.
Mine was heart failure ... so go see doc xxxxxx
I have been told by my g.p that when you have c.o.p.d. this can cause you legs to swell .ps steridos do this as well but dont be thinking this is a bad thing just ask g.p
Well Billparks, it's your lucky day! You have me replying to your post! haha, just kidding. There are a number of reasons why people's legs swell. I can only speak from my experience and my situations. First off, right out the gate...no salt. Just one simple change can make a whole lot of difference. Drink more water and flush the salt out of your system. You will lose a few pounds and that's a plus for any of us. At one point, my doctor prescribed Laxix. You may ask your doctor what he thinks of that. It is a diuretic, but not for everyone. Sometimes doctors will order compression stockings for circulation and that too will prevent swelling some. Some people can wear knee high compression stockings and some people MUST wear thigh highs. I found that Salt was my best move. I did buy me some "Original No Salt." It looks like salt and shakes like salt and tricks my brain! You can't give up salt completely because it comes in can foods used as a preservative. We can however control what we buy such as salty snacks. Keep us posted how your swelled legs are coming along.
Remember: No salt, add water!
