hi everybody, haven't been on for a while but can anyone tell me how long ABG results

take ? I had test done at Ipswich Hospital about two weeks ago and heard nothing since

is this normal or am I to inpatient? many thanks.

I have always been given mine immediately. Try asking your GP who should have been sent the results.

many thanks Shelab123 I will have chase up results. After the test was done the doctor just said, she would pass on the results to the consultant. I wish you all the luck in the world , take care!

It only takes a few minutes.

Your results must've been normal if you were not notified

I am, unfortunately, a regular visitor to A&E with breathing problems. I always have an ABG (Arterial Blood Gas) done. They take the sample to a machine that is kept in A&E and then, after 5 minutes or so, the doctor will show me the results and discuss what the ABG showed and what treatment is so required.

Chase for your results. They should be in your file.
