Hi. PIP is not means tested so anyone can claim. It depends what effect your health has on your abilities rather than your income but the cut off point is 65. There is more information here:
Hi Leonie, PIP isn't means tested. It depends on the difficulties of your condition and how much help you need. You ill need to get your claim in six months before you turn 65 though because at 65 you only get attendance allowance which carries no elemen of mobility benefit. Ridiculous I know, when the older we get the more we need our cars and disabled parking spaces.
Yes does not matter if you have a small pension or not but remember you have to apply for pip before you turn 65
Hi pip is not means tested so you could be a millionaire and still apply for it. PIP is for people aged 16 and 64. So I would ask first you may need to apply for attendance allowance.
Hi Leonie17, you may have to go for Attendance allowance as these benefits like PIP are for working Age persons, but as retirement age has changed fill in a form for PIP first before you get to 65 if possible and they will soon tell you if you are claiming the wrong benefit, if you delay you could loose your entitlement. It is not means tested just disability dependent, i.e if you need help with daily tasks, have walking problems, breathing problems ect Hope this helps good luck if you claim.
