Best advice would be get it checked out by your GP. It is probably nothing to worry about but any new chest pain should be investigated for cause.

It could be caused by a pinched nerve. I visited a acupuncturist and had no more trouble.

I had this in my right side upper quadrant and discovered it was a trapped intercostal nerve see if you can get a Physio to untrap it for you or at least check it out. It was very painful but now released is fine . It may have been due to coughing a lot. Good luck

it can be nerve, pulled muscle or infection - keep eye and raise with Dr....x

in other words if infection, get hold of it before takes hold, always easier catch the little fellah sooner than later x
