Hi. Hope your all doing as well as you can. What's happened to spring? Cold and wet here in N Wales.
Love this picture the bird in the middle reminds me of one I had from a child to teenager. He (I always thought of him as a he, but no idea really what sex he/it was). He had an amazing vocabulary.
Enjoy your day.

I had a green budgie when I was a child.....it was called Peter until the bit above its beak turned a brown colour and it laid an egg.....Peta was her name after that.
Male budgies have a blue bit above their beaks.
Mine never talked just chirped like the sparrows in the garden and peeled the wallpaper off the walls of our rented rooms .
Thanks for that- never knew. Had a funny flashback, did you ever see Michael Parkinson v Emu. Think it was very early on. Michael asked what sex Emu was. He was told "Why don't you lift the skirt and have a look". All hell broke loose. Don't think Michael ever got over it.
I love this picture. The green budgie looks just like the one we had as kids. I called him George (after George Harrison) and my sister taught him to recite the Georgie Porgie, pudding & pie nursery rhyme. He was a great talker and could go on for hours, getting louder and louder to compete with the TV.
`Love it. Love it. Had more responses over this picture than all the others. Perhaps we should form a sub-group of ex, or even existing Budgerigar fanciers.
I have a budgie called George. He was rescued from Hampstead Heath while feeding on the tall grasses and taken to the local vet. A friend of mine who uses the vet, nominated me to take him in!! He is very beautiful. Sky blue with tufts of white like clouds and yellow for morning sunshine.
I suppose I shouldn't be surprised how much joy you can get from a bundle of feathers weighing no more than a couple of ounces. Thank you for all your replies. For people who have never had dealings with budgies I hope you get a taste of what characters they are. Joyful.
