Is it normal to get lung pain when first going back to work after two months off with pleurisy. Breathing ok it's just this pain in my back (lung area). Can't afford to quitt work and don't really want to as it keeps me going. I'm a cleaner in a shop but only use w/up liquid to clean as chemical cleaners affect me

Hi Lynda, pleurisy is not a nice thing to have as you know. It takes time to fully recover si little back /lung pain might be normal, but if you are worried please go back to your GP. Please let us know how you get on. Take care 😊 xx Bernadette

It could be the muscles in between your ribs reacting to starting work again. However if it carries on always best getting it checked out. I get a fair amount of intercostal pain especially after heavy exercise. Normally it settles with some gentle heat over the area.
