There are a lot of coughs and colds about at this time of the year. Perhaps if it is proving difficult to shift you need to have a word with your GP so he can check for infection? Unfortunately there is no cure for the common cold, even after all of these years.

Please contact your GP about the blood, whilst it may only be a burst blood vessel in your throat it does need checking out.

Hello there Shrimpy66 and I can tell you that people without any lung issues etc are still trying to fight off this nasty, pesky virus from before Christmas. My friend still has his nasty, phelmy cough and seems to be coughing every five mins. Its driving him mad and he is generally a healthy man who never gets "brought down" with anything for as long as I can remember. So keep warm, drink plenty of fluids and take a nice hot lemon drink etc etc. If you feel you've done all that, then maybe a call/visit to your Doctor may be next on the list. In any event, I do hope you start to feel on the mend as soon as possible.
