No explanation from docs
I was previously on ventolin and becotide 100

Hmmm, this doesn't sound okay at all, especially to change as the winter sets in.
Do you have a respiratory nurse at your GP practice? I was changed from Seretide 250 to Sirdupla in late '15. I tried it & it didn't feel right. I requested to go back to Seretide & was refused - not by my GP. So, to get me through the winter I used up all my different Seretide inhalers & went back to Sirdupla when they ran out. Wheezing, SOB & high usage of Ventolin ensued for 3 months before my respiratory nurse appointment in April '16, my second review since moving town to new practice. Thankfully an exceptional nurse had read my history before I even walked in. She changed for Fostair, saying it would really suit me & she was absolutely right. I've not looked back. Rarely use Ventolin and had my best winter for years.
What I'm trying to say is persevere, see the nurse if you have one, change GP. I got terrible cramps from the one winter I had to double my Seretide dose, skin thinned, masses if bruises. I found tonic water a miracle cure for the cramp.
Hi I have used Seretide for years and was recently given Sirdupla I thought it was just a generic name for Seretide I used it for 3 days, my breathing was awful so I refused to use it any more my breathing went back to normal almost immediately.
I believe this was changed by the Chemist not by my Doctor but I have never had any more.
Please go see your Doctor you shouldn't be suffering like this.
take care
polly xx
Hi it is a cheap version of Seretide..I left England just when they changed my prescription! Honestly I am not a fan of generics..I insisted on having my ventolin evohaler the salamol was useless..
