Welcome Gemma and sorry if you have a cancer diagnosis. I cannot answer your question l'm afraid as it's something only a specialist would know. Hope you get some answers. Xxx
You would need to speak to a medical professional Gemma. Maybe the British Lung Foundation nurses can help - phone 03000 030 555. All best wishes.
Hi and a warm welcome, like Sassy I couldn't begin to answer your question. I just noticed the lack of replies, I'm so sorry, we aren't medics here but there are respiratory nurses on the BLF help line who could give you some guidance on where to find an answer. Call UK office hours: 03000 030555
Wishing you the very best. Peege
Hello Gemma2017 . I'm sorry I don't know the answer to your question. I hope you get the answers you seek soon. Wishing the best for you.

I should imagine a lot will depend on why your ling function is only 20% is it the tumour causing this? if so it may be possible to try to remove it, perhaps not by a general anaesthetic though. But if you had this lung function before the tumour caused by another disease , then it may depend on the severity of your first lung disease .
I hope the BLF nurses can help you, but I guess only your oncologist will be able to answer your question
I hope all goes well for you
