Is Health Anxerty A Dirty Word Or Justifed Given Poor Care.

Am sure know one likes being called a hypochondriac but can health Anxerty be Justifed if sufferd at hands of professionals AND why dose it sound like a dirty word.

Some might remmber me asking if anyone knew what this was in picture.

It's took year and half and doctors gp's I shown it too said they did not know what these light chains was in my blood under microscope WELL picture is what I believe to be candis or pseudomonas bactriea in my blood.

But did give me willies esp given my steroid inhaler was causing mouth thrush.

Interesting JAS and understandable too in many cases. Having chronic health issues is extremely stressful plus you have the worry of your dad too.

Hi Sassy am not sure about others but i read my doctors letter and it worded like derogatory and reads like talking about boy that cried wolf

Sure i could be over sensitive but these doctors and thats why am in mess as is not threw me being neurotic but there lack of care.

It shouldn't ever be 'a dirty word' because there's always a reason for it. And yes, poor care would make even the strongest of us anxious!

Hi Watfordgirl like i said to sassy am sure doctors are using it in derogatory term to describe patients being neurotic after all whats up with ptsd

I have suffered with health anxiety for many years its horrid and even worse now I have severe copd xx

Hi Shadow4me Sorry to read you too have suffered bad anxiety.

Is pits as sadly i know to well BUT i think doctors could be tad more understanding when writing about suffers in letters to others.

Its funny how my doctor wrote about my health anxiety to other doctors.

In what seemed a derogatory term describing boy who cries wolf BUT forgot to mention am in this mess threw there incompitance well unless am dyslectic am missed that bit.

It's perfectly natural to be anxious about any health problem that your docter's can't or won't try to get to the bottom of. What do they expect?

You have been led up the garden path ever since I joined this site a few years ago and it is an awful thing to witness.

They should be ashamed of themselves.

Just look at that embarrassing bodies program and the people, who after years of suffering with something their Docter or local hospital can't find a solution for, having to humiliate themselves, in desperation and in front of millions of people, that miraculously finally find out what's been up with them and how it can be treated.

How do their docters do it when our docter's can't, simple, it's all about the money !!!
