You REALLY need to have your chest listened to by your doctrr/nurse and let them decide on antibiotics. I use Carbocisteine to help break down the mucus but we are all different...try to get to a doctor if you can, it is important. Good luck :)

I honestly don't know. Do speak to a doctor or nurse. All the best to you.

Hi, sahil. Drinking water or obtaining some Carbocisteine capsules will help with bringing up the mucus, as will using the 'huffing' technique which you can see demonstrated on YouTube. Antibiotics aren't usually prescribed unless the mucus is infected. Which antibiotic works best will then depend on which bug is causing the infection. You really do need to consult a doctor.

Hi Sahil sorry read about trouble breathing issues having.

You could email blf for further info.

As to mucus sound like you could do with nebuliser really Usally befour i got nebuliser my doc told me to hold head over bowl of hot salty water and breath steam in.

To help clear lungs can get partner to help bit like cf suffers do.

Carbocisteine works for most people for thinning mucus, making it easier to move it. It's a prescription drug - so you'd need to see yr GP for it in the UK.
