Very bad aching legs
To be fair could be 100 / 1 causes from doing bit more than usual to inhalers to your level of lung disease.
I would see your doctor as he is best placed to look at history test to see whsts causing it.
IanRM has the answer, I am sure. Claudication.....
In my case the arteries in the thigh were affected, I had an operation to put stents in, only one was managed. The side that was not done had however, developed a new major vein that bypassed the artery.
Those factors along with blood thinning medication have improved the situation a great deal.
Hi, I have COPD at the same level. Naturally, the main causation was smoking. In addition to COPD, I also have almost total cauldication of my main stomach artery. ie a 10" long blockage. This artery carries blood to the legs/feet. When the flow is distrurbed, the legs get too little blood/oxegen. Your body believes it is under stress like being in a marathon and causes the pain to my legs. If I ignore the pain then it quickly results in numbness in both feet and inability to walk. It is possible you may have the early stages of this. You should discuss with you GP and arrange for an ultra sound examination of your lower body. This can usually be conducted in your own GP practice with further tests, such as CT scans, done by the local hospital. Hope this has helped and good luck to you.
My COPD is only moderate but my leg circulation has plaque buildup and I see a vascular doctor for treatment. I am prescribe Plavix and a baby aspirin and still get build up that needs annual scraping and stents. I go to a surgeon / hospital that specializes in these treatments. My disease is periphal artery disease (PAD). I am 69. I have diabetes, HBP& I am always fighting my weight.
