Pulmonary rehab contracted out......

I am on my 3rd time round, and nurse tells me that BOC now have the contract so next round of courses will be with them.

They will probably use a private venue and not an NHS site, so there will be no patient transport. So that is me out.................

Hi stree

What a disappointment, but may be worth checking if this info is correct, or if some voluntary organisations may be able to help you with transport.

Good luck

Oh Street,I wonder if this will effect the PR Classes all over the UK then in time? So fingers crossed that you are still able to attend your classes, whoever is running them. Best of Lucy and keep us posted.

I would think it will affect every health authority area, mine will not be an exception.

I have written to BOC to ask if any thought has been given to those who depend on ambulance transport to attend the course.

Do you have a Dial-a-Ride service locally, stree? I was able to use that when I couldn't drinve after a knee replacement op.
