just diagnosed with COPD

hi i was diagnosed with COPD 2 weeks ago and dont know anything about it they told me in the hospital that i had it then sent me home can anyone help me please

coughing breathlessness chest pains (but i think that is caused by the coughing) sputum tiredness and i dont even know what PTF is

Pulmonary function test by using a spirometry. This is how the Dr. will know if you have COPD or not.

The results from the spirometry will determine if you have COPD and at what stage,

Hi and welcome. Though you didn't say how you came to be in hospital they will surely have written to your GP after you were sent home. Perhaps contacting your surgery for an appointment for more information and to discuss your problems would help.

i was admitted into hospital with a chest infection that wasnt clearing
