LUNG INFECTION : well after the chicken... - Lung Conditions C...
LUNG INFECTION
You're never alone with this illness. There's always a sneaky little infection hatching to keep you company. Hope you get over it as quickly as possible and that your grandchild and daughter are surviving the dreaded pox.
hope the pills soon work and you start to feel better
Feel better soon, drink plenty of fluids 🌼
I hope your new antibiotics soon clear up the bugs & you feel better. X
Hope your new visitors get sent packing really soon and you start to feel better, B0xermad.
Sorry to hear of your problems B0xermad and l hope that your medication works for you. Feel better soon and take care. Xxxx
I do hope that everything gets sorted very soon - these horrible little germs seem to delight in sneaking a back way in. Let us know won't you?
The H.I. certainly seems to love our lungs, shame really they could go elsewhere to multiply! Hope your soon feeling better BOxermad. Xx
See if you can persuade doc to give you an innoculation against Haemophillus influenza not an easy task but get the consultant behind you . This may well seriously help your lung condition and future frequency of infections . Worked for me ! Good luck
B0xermad , Very often Amoxycillin gets burnt out. I am on Clarithromycin when I have an infection. I hope Amoxyclav will help you Lots of rest with some breathing movement if you can. but don't stress it.
here is a good set with a nice lady:

As she says you can keep your lungs oxygenated and strong. Take care, Mic
Unfortunately iI cannot take clarithromycin but thank you
Amoxicillin is flipping useless, I refuse it, it's never ever worked for me even when sputum analysis shows it should. Co amoxiclav is much better as it has an added antiB.
Good luck
Oh no. It's always one thing after another isn't it? It never stops for us. I know how very frustrating this is. I really hope you can rest and kick it. Please do rest. Sending love. Cas xx 🌹
Cas, I found over the years, that for the drugs, it's a trial and error. But when I go to hospital, I mention all the drugs that don't work and I say I have an allergy against them.
I was in hospital once and the doc told me he had given me "a good drug". I was transferred on teh ward and ask wht drug it was; Amoxycillin. I insisted in the fact that it does no good to me. They tried another day, but my sputum didn't clear. So I insisted on a change of drug. The doc did. The sputum cleared ( ho.ho.ho!)
In this case, patients have a right to refuse a drug and ask for a better one.
They gave me Gentomycin once and it started making me deaf. I complained loudly to the consultant that he should have read the British National formulary guidelines as it is written clearly that it affects the hearing within a couple of days. He stopped it fortunately, but it took me a fortnight to recover my hearing and no cooperation from the hearing consultant either who said it was old age that produced this. I was livid. They gave me some hearing aid! A fortnight later, I stopped wearing them as my hearing had fortunately come back.
Medicine is delivered by doctors, but it's the patients who ingest it and on whom it has an effect!
Always stand strongly against the willy-nilly doctor.
Sorry to rant like this, but you have to look at those medics as human beings rather than idolise them. Yes, they learn a lot that is theoretical. The experience belongs to us the patients.
All the best, Mic
Oh poor you xx I'm so sorry xx get well soon, I think I will make a note of this vaccine & ask my consultant when I see him next month I'm fed up getting infections every three months xx take care, rest and yet exercise sounds like gobbley gook xx you know what I mean though xx
I was given anti viral medication when I had the varicella virus. (one of the chicken pox/shingles family)
