I was born with a mod-severe Cerebral Palsy with Scoliosis and fused ribcage in 1963.

I recently got diagnosed with Sarcoidosis early this year. I have to see my doctor on Sunday, because something else has shown up in my blood and my doctor needs to see me. I know it's Leaukemia but unsure what type.

I don't think that I'll have any problem getting enhanced PIP, as I presently reside in a care home and waiting to be rehoused, along with my husband who is 64 next year. I think that we are unfortunately, fortunate as he was born with CP too.

Welfare Rights said that DWP have to assess me at the Care Home. She said that I should go on enhanced PIP, because of the fact that I need help with many things now and more , as my health declines. Whatever my health problem is regarding the result , I know it's not good.

I'm grateful that I will be with my husband for the diagnosis.

However, as a Messianic Jewess or Judeau-Christian, if you prefer. I find my faith and trust in G-D keeps me grounded and unafraid of the hand that I'm given. I know it is scary to have a life-threatening illness. I remember the horrible and cruel way our LORD AND SAVIOUR YAHUSHUWA was tortured and nailed on a cross for our salvation- my health problems are nothing compared to the suffering that He took on the cross.

I'm a 100% Jewish , because both parents have Jewish blood. I think about what our ancestor witnessed and that heĺps me to fight the pain

Faith is so important in our life today that we need it to get through each day.

Faith, love, strength are all important when fighting illness and other things. I wish you well with your fight and hope your faith sees you through.

Life is so very fragile and needs such careful handling.

Hi ACHILDOFLIGHT , thank you for your post, it brought back a memory of my (deceased) brother and the day he arrived at our house in the 1970's with his friend who had CP and was wheelchair bound.

We took him to Hardwick Hall, he wanted to go round the lake which meant lifting him over the stiles followed by his chair. He was game for almost anything! We ended at the pub on the estate for a drink (which he took through a straw). I know he had a great day, as did we. He was someone who knew how to make the most out of life and, in a strange way, I think I envied him for that.

Best wishes to you both and thank you for bring back the memory.

Tony
