There was an article in my local paper this week about the campaign which is going to be launched.

An MP from a nearby town took part .... the BLF campaign aims to raise awareness that breathlessness could be a sign of lung disease or alternatively give you peace of mind.

It's a simple ten question test based on the Medical Research Council breathlessness scale .

Ps .....I don't know if this answer would be classed as ' political' ....apologies if so.

Hi again.....I have paraphrased the article from my local paper....not quoted directly, so I hope my understanding is correct.

Hopefully the BLF will tell us more when the campaign starts. I think they were just bringing awareness of lung conditions to MPs on Monday.

I think its a campaign similar to the lung cancer '3 week cough' commercial. You answer a number of questions which prompt you think about breathlessness. Its not really for us, we all know we are breathless - its for trying to identify those people who have just accepted breathlessness as the norm but haven't gone to see about it or just haven't noticed that they have become breathless. Apparently if you provide an email address it will prompt you a couple of months down the line whether you have seen a doctor or not. I am looking forward to seeing it go live and sending the link to colleagues!.
