Brompton on Monday

Getting very nervous about going to the Brompton Hospital on Monday. I really don't know what to expect ! I have IPF, but not on oxygen yet as my oxygen levels are good at the moment. I do get very breathless when out walking, find it difficult to do chores in the home, although now have someone coming in to do some of them.

Does anyone know what I can expect from Brompton.

Hope you are all feeling ok today, and have a good weekend,

Maggie7 x

Hi Maggie7 I don't go to Brompton so can't advise but if it anything like the Royal Hallamshire in Sheffield where I go, you will be really well cared for by fantastic medical people and staff. Hope all goes well for you and try not to get stressed about it beforehand. Thinking of you x

Hi Maggie, I'm not a Brompton person either but several of our friends are. They always speak highly of it when it's mentioned.

They're the experts, Maggie. They're there to help you and do their best for you, and they'll be expecting you to be nervous on your first visit. They'll be kind. Good luck and make sure you let us know how you get on.

Glad you've got help with the housework! Sue x

That's great, but it is all right to be nervous. When you're stepping into the unknown it would be strange if you weren't. I don't like it 'cos it can make me more breathless! Sue x
