Morning Annieeilleen, just read you post and like hugg wrote I too wish you well for your stay in hospital. Please keep us updated when you feel able to. I am due at Papworth for long day of tests with the iLd team this thursday as on last visit to Papworth for regular pulmonary hypertension monitoring my chest x ray showed some big changes. I had an urgent ct few days later which confirmed like yourself, that I had recently developed lung nodules- largest was 7mm along with micro nodules and have ground glass and bronchial wall thickening. Thursday will see if i have any further changes etc They suspect I have hypersensitivity pneumonitis, cause yet unknown. Take things easy after your operation, all the best, lynda x

I didn't know lung nodules needed to be excised. I had a CT scan last week which revealed two nodules on my left lung. I'll follow your thread and hopefully learn something about lung nodules and what causes them.

Thanks for the good wishes everyone x my lung nodules were discovered 5 years ago and have yearly CT scans but since November these 3 have started to grow so consultants want them out hence op .My pet scan didn't show anything but my surgeon said he didn't really trust it because although the nodules have grown they aren't really big enough for pet scan to be effective .good luck to everyone having tests ect this week .might be out of action for a bit but will update when I can x
