Hi all

I have my first tests and consultants appointment at The Royal Brompton this coming Tuesday. Very nervous but hoping they can do something to help my breathlessness

It’s a great hospital poppy and you’ll be in good hands. Wishing you well for Tuesday. Xxxxx

Best of luck. I’m a patient there and I find them very thorough and helpful. They seem much more efficient and friendly than most hospitals, so your experience will hopefully be a good and useful one. Let us know how it goes.

They are the best in the country! I’m a patient there even though I live 60 miles away. I’m forever thankful as you get the best treatment. Good luck!

Totally 100% happy going there, staff most helpfull and happy to see you, no messing about waiting, you are seen on time and every thing explained to you plus they know what they are doing.

Only downside is car parking, expensive if you dont have a Blue Badge, even with a badge best way is use Just Park, book on the Internet, nearest is opposite the old Town Hall and next to Metro Bank, OK it costs you but easy and guaranteed space. Bus stop opposite which stops outside Fulham Road entrance

Good Luck

Good luck to you poppy08 and I'm certain you'll be very happy with everybody at the RBH. They are,I think, only 1 of 5 centres of excellence in the UK,and people travel hundreds of miles to get an appointment there. So congratulations for making that first step and I look forward to reading about your experiences. Best wishes !!!

I have had two appointments so far at the Brompton and I was very surprised at the difference in the treatment and attitude of the staff and consultants compared to my local general hospital. No long walks from the waiting rooms, everyone is helpfull and not once have I had to say "im out of breath"Most of the patients there are so they always give you time to compose yourself.Don't be nervous, you will be in safe hands,do keep us posted xx
