As reported previously I have had SABR(radiotherapy ) treatment for lung cancer on my left lung, as I am on oxygen 24/7 I could not have the operation to remove it, anyway as promised here is my update. I had a further scan and the consultant was very pleased with the results although showing some degree of shadow he is not concerned about it I do have to go back in 3 months for more scans but that is normal procedure, to be honest I am feeling great. I have had the best care anyone could wish for from doctors, nurses and all there staff. Thank you to everyone on here for all your kind words and support it means a lot, it is the forum ever.
I will keep you informed on my progress

Morning Sue - Fantastic news. So pleased to read this. Onwards and Upwards! Lots of love TAD xxx
That's great news, Sue, and it's fantastic that you're feeling great.
It does sound as though you've been really well cared for, which is as it should be, but a lot of it is down to you. You're a brave lady and am wishing you all the best things!!
Hi Butterfly, the consultant told me the side effects could be unpleasant, tiredness, breathing possible worse , burning from the radium etc but honestly I have sailed through it if anything my breathing is better than it was I did not suffer any side effects at all. Are you having Radium treatment.
I wish you well and hope you get through it as good me just keep positive
No not had any chemo or radio - been told I can't have it as been told it will decrease my current lung function which isin't very good. However I am not on oxygen!
I have to have another xray to see what is going on - they aren't doing anymore scans - pallative care only - I do feel as though I have just been left to get on with it, so that is what I shall do !
I just have to stay positive, and everyone on this site helps and get on with it - there is always someone worse off, and this COPD was self inflicted with all the fags, but I did enjoy them!
Me too cigs was to blame I stopped in 2000 but the damage was already done. I really hope you get the help you need. If you get chance to go to on a rehab course they really help you and all the people who attend are in the same boat so it's good to talk. Let me know how you get on.
