Google insurance company's for people with COPD. A lot of the big insurance company won't insure people with chronic conditions or the premium is to high.
You can get travel insurance if that is what you're after .. put it in the search box top right on this page - been discussed dozens of times on here.
Nobody is uninsurable, it is the price that is prohibitive. I am with Allclear and I have three chronic illnesses, one of which is COPD. I thought their price was reasonable for annual Europe travel. Of course if you are over 70 then the price gets dearer for that too. And over ninety is almost impossible to get insurance for. Simple advice shop around on line has some good sites to do this. Good luck with your search Elder1
It depends, travel insurance you should be able to find someone. if its health/life insurance then I have no idea but I do feel like you would be better off saving the amount each month into a savings account. Good luck.
Hi, I've just got insurance, multi trip worldwide. I've got COPD moderate and been in hospital twice in last 3 months with pneumonia. After lots of searching I got it. Most wouldn't insure me at all if I've had hospital treatment in the last year. I got it with Avanti insurers. I'm not on oxygen just inhalers. Because I'm going to America it was very expensive £900 for me and hubby, he is fit. If it's not USA it would be considerably cheaper. If u go a year with no change and hospitalisation it comes way way down. Forgot to mention mine is an annual policy. Hope this helps.
I had life insurance and when I sold my house I cancelled it witch was a stupid thing to do but you Learn from your mistakes. I applied again and was turned down due to how many times I had to use my inhaler. And had to take life insurance without medical questions.
We have annual travel insurance in Europe with freespirittravelinsurance.com £288.68
Nationwide was good for me but I haven't had any periods of hospitalisation. .... I'm sure that would change things somewhat.
Hi my mother in law has COPD too and history of mini stroke and high blood pressure we are travelling this Easter so I was a bit worried if we'd be able to find someone, I too am also with severe asthma , aspergillosis and bronchi ectasis , I found a link on money saving expert and found a very good quote with holiday safe though I found the excess has to be 150 to 200 but feel in safe hands for when we travel .
Thanks everyone for taking the time to reply to my question 😃
