Anyone else involved with the COPD trial here? I am having an assessment next Wednesday but was wondering if anyone from here is already involved.

Mine's at 2 pm so might see you there? It's about 30 mins from home so not too bad getting there so it's worth finding out what they are up to.

No you are too far I'm in Hemel Hempstead

It's worth your time to look into the stated aims and objectives of this trial, Perce. What's in it for you? Will the trial findings be published? Some trials are promotional rather than genuinely scientific. I notice that Medinova on their website are upfront about the protocols and put the patient first. The point is that the primary and secondary outcomes for the trial are transparent as well as the funding sources if the recruit is to have confidence in the package on offer. If you can, dig deeper into the sponsors of the trial and look carefully at the stated ethics behind the purpose of the initiative.

Good luck Perce.

Terry.

Hi Perce

I did a COPD trial at Mount Vernon, Hillingdon, several years ago. I went every fortnight. Half of patients were given trial drug and other half placebo I never did find out if I had placebo or real deal despite repeated requests. Still, at least I got a Health MOT.

Take care

Malinka
