Great news Farmer D. As I think I have told you before, I had both my cataracts done at the end of 2014 ( just under a month apart ) &, after wearing glasses for sixty two years, I am now able to drive without glasses at all - just wear reading glasses now which is fine by me. Had thought of applying for The Red Arrows but, as I'm seventy four today, think I've missed the boat on that one. π I'll be thinking of you on Thursday - let us know how you get on. Also good luck for May.ππππ
A very happy Birthday to you Helen,I,d say the Red Arrows have missed out there.D. πΊπ·πΈ
A very happy belated birthday, Helen. I do hope you enjoyed your day.
All the best

Thanks D. π I expect, like me you are stunned after the surgery & the results are almost immediate. Anyone hesitating about this surgery really shouldn't should they? It's a whole new way of life. π
Husband at start of problem of cataracts so read your post with interest. Good luck kaye
Hi Kathiesue, there is really nothing to worry about the operation,no pain only a little discomfort when the drugs wear off and next day you can see fine or even better. Not so sure about the LVRS lol.D.

Hi FarmerD good luck with the Op on Thursday, the 9th of May will soon come round and after that you should be a new man so to speak My thoughts will be with you that all goes well, avoid those bugs till then and keep breathing well xx
Thank you Katie,I spoke to a community physio yesterday, she laughed when I told her I was looking forward to washing my hair without thinking I,m going to die.D.
No one realises the thoughts that go through our heads when we have these life changing illnesses. I struggle to wash my hair so I visit the hairdressers, but when i get worse I guess I may have to change to a mobile hairdresser coming to the house. Enjoy your day it's been dry and sunny here but bitterly cold, I lost my voice it was so cold. But at least we are here to enjoy the weather and talk about it..........
Hell D, nice to hear from you and with good news too!
All the best for the second eye and the RB too. By May that sun will be out for you xx
ps I'm a tiger!
Good luck with both dates Farmer
