the post about sleeping on your left hand side was deleted? I got the post heading in my daily digest but just got the oops notice when i clicked on it.
The reason Im interested is because I only ever sleep on my left side due to reflux as the entrance to the stomach (the LES, lower oesophageal sphincter) is a bit down on the right hand side. So sleeping on the left means the LES is higher up and to a large extent gravity prevents acid leaking out.
I would have liked to read the link.

Maybe he deleted it himself so let's not jump in and blame moderators. In my reply, I said that while I saw the logic of the benefits to the digestive system, that I'd take the rest of the article with a grain of salt. He doesn't strike me as someone to delete a post because another person didn't agree 100%. Or maybe there were further responses after I posted. Who knows ?
It seemed everyone was making a joke out of it. Maybe he got offended. It was a good topic. Maybe he will put the link back on , when he sees people are seriously interested. Theres a time and place for everything.
All the replies l read this morning the members were showing a great deal of interest, up until l went out l was the only one having a joke with him.
At the same time l also said it was an interesting post and praised him for it.
Gerald and l have shared many jokes with each other, over the last couple of years, he knows like me about a time and a place for everything, he also knows. Like me the people who are easily offended....Gerald isn't one of them.
Didn't mean to offend you Velvet. Was just trying to figure out why he removed it. Thought maybe he figured no one was taking it serious Lord knows, I would never do or say anything to hurt you. Sorry if I offended you. Don't want to be one of those people on the site, looking for trouble. Thats not what I'm all about. Did anyone pm him and ask? ππ
No offence taken, l didn't see any replies after l went out, so perhaps you saw more than me. Later that evening when l looked his post had gone.
It was , a good and interesting post as you know, and l am lucky, as l always sleep on my left side naturally.
Up until l went out, members were all showing interest, and l saw nothing that the moderators could object to.
Maybe Gerald was having a bad day...we all have them,... and was a little more sensitive than normal...If so...Come back Gerald, we need members like you.
If you didn't like my joke l apologise, l will never worry about your bladder again ππ
As for you my little friend from across the pond, l hope you are not involved with that giant snowstorm over the USA.
The UK Grinds to a halt if we have 2 inches of snow, let alone 2 foot !! ππ
for sure! π Yes Velvet, 2 feet of snow. Haven't went anywhere since Friday night. Cars are buried. Only main roads are open. We live behind a mall. Can't go anywhere till they plow it. Really bad storm! Just lucky we didn't lose power. Take care Velvet..
We are seeing so much on UK telly about your situation over there, it looks horrendous, but your authority's seem to have the clear up planned out for when it stops....or so it seems.
Hope you are well stocked up on food, if that was me l would hibernate in a warm bed with some good books , and a box of chocs , until it is all over !!ππ
Most I've sat still for a long time! Little mini vacation. Lots of chocolates! We are lucky we have power. Many people don't. As long as I got my heat and telly, I'm good.π We are only 9 miles from the shore.
I wondered why too. It was a very informative post. In fact I slept on my left side last night to wake this morning feeling alive! My hubbie said its all in your mind, I don't think so, it definitely worked for me. π. Xxx. Moongirl
I think your husband is right Moongirl Sleeping on your left should help with reflux etc., but if it were the answer to every health problem under the sun, then I'm sure we'd have heard about it earlier. I'm so happy to get any sleep at all, that I'm not picky about what side it happens on
