Hi Patsy, very nice to hear from you again.

Hope you are well at the moment.

Do you have any plans for Christmas?

I have a niece who lives in New York. Are you anywhere near there?

Hope to see you on the site again soon💐

Hi Jessy11. I'm not sure if I remember you but that's fine. I live in Wisconsin very far from New York. No matter though. Thanks for replying and hope we can stay in touch. I am at least ok right now. Usual good day bad day cycle. I so love the good days.

Hi Patsy, I replied to you 3 months ago on your last post. I was Jessy1 then.

I had to change my ID slightly as I was having problems logging in. At the time there was a lot of problems with the site but all seems well now.

Certainly keep in touch. Just come on & chat. Someone will always be here.

Take care 🌺

Hi Patsy nice to meet you. I am stage 4, FEV 20%, yourself? Sometimes I think it's good to know what stage everyone is at, makes it easier to identify, so good point. Hope your on a good day today, and look forward to chatting in the future. Xx

Hi patsy don`t know what stage I`m at. I`m one of those people that doesn`t feel I need to know. I`ll know if I get permanently worse but at the moment I take each day as it comes. I`m grateful for my oxygen I`d be house bound without it.

Isn`t the internet wonderful ? We can communicate with each other regardless of the miles between. Nice to meet you ! Keep well, Sheila xx

Hi Patsy

I too have Stage 4 COPD, sometimes referred to as severe, am 1litre oxygen mostly 24/7. Infection free at the moment, touch wood.

Nice to hear from someone in the 'same boat' so to speak. Hope you are keeping well.

Take care.

Hi Patsy, hope you are keeping well. I love hearing from people from different places and learning what sort of treatment they receive. I am at stage 4 and on ambulatory oxygen 4 lpm I am struggling at the moment because of the Winter on its way, but hopefully will make it through to Spring.

take care

I'm at stage 4 as well, now on 3 litres oxygen for 15 hours a day (L-TOT) and 4 litres ambulatory when I lift my bum off a seat. I go to a maintenance gym class once a week and just had a reminder from my "other" gym that they've not seen me for a long time (read "Get back here!").

Life is great -- I get around by carting one cylinder on my back and two spares in an "old lady's" shopping trolley, which is OK, since I'm an old lady... and I can be out and active for 5 hours -- more if I sit down and turn off the oxygen!!

I must admit that climbing the spiral staircases in castle ruins is getting tougher, but needs must (I'm a history freak) : I just go more slowly and hold up everyone else :)

It's good to see everyone else is so positive!!!

Hang in there!!

I went to see my consultant last week and he confirmed what I already suspected that I was stage 4, though my FEV1 was 26 up from 17 at my last test. I have been reasonably well, try to exercise and take each day as it comes. I occasionally feel anxious and depressed then I think I'm not that badly off. I don't need oxygen at the moment. There are people who've been stage 4 forca long time so don't worry just look after yourself and take your meds.

That is nice to see the improvement in your FEV1. Hope the improvement continues for you.

Hi Patsy, I'm new to the group. I live in northwest suburbs of Chicago, not to far from Wisc. I saw your message about stress and fear with breathing problems and I can relate to that. It's been really hard. I hope your stress and fear have improved and that you were able to get to the doc. Beth
