Nice one Tony, I'm going to press play now and do some chores! π xxx
Brilliant!
I've been lucky enough to see Springsteen twice; at Wembley during the Born In The USA tour (1985 I think) & then at Hampden Park in Glasgow a few years ago, one of Clarence Clemons last gigs before his death.
I love the quote about him that he is the third best guitar player & 4th best singer in his own band. So true but what amazing energy & stunning lyrics.
He wrote Thunder Road when he was about 22 years old. Apart from Stairway To Heaven (I think Robert Plant was mid-20s when he co-wrote it) I doubt anyone of that age has ever written such an amazingly deep rock tune.
Hi Minu,
I've seen him twice also, once at Birmingham NEC on the River Tour 1980/81 and the other was the same as you, the Born in the USA tour at Leeds which was totally amazing.
The Boss has certainly stood the test of time and he ain't finished yet .
I love 'The River' best. Oh and 'Dancing in the Dark' x
I'm not sure he ever did a bad song but I'm particularly fond of 'Johnny 99', '41 Shots' & Thunder Road. Also 'If I Should Fall Behind' is stunningly beautiful.
With the Boss every song is a great song and he's done a few hasn't he . Like your choice cough x
Brilliant as ever Tony. Got me moving while Pete sat and laughed! Xxx π
Magic! x
Oh the lovely Brucey. Why oh why didn't I look in earlier, it would have cheered up my rubbish day before it started. Thanks T xx π
Sorry to here you had a rubbish day Pen, I'm glad my Boss playlist has helped cheer you up and brighten up this grey old day xxx
Love the boss Saw him at Milton Keynes at 'The Bowl' 21 years ago. He was brilliant. x
He's a total entertainer not just a singer/songwriter and he certainly gives you your money's worth don't he, 3 1/2 hours is nothing for one of his concerts.
When Bruce and the E street band are going at full throttle the crowd are right there with them which makes it all the more special x
