Hi Schnappes and welcome, since I joined this site

I have learned a lot more about my copd from the

good people on this site than I had from my doctor.

Thank you ,I have been welcomed with open arms what a lovely bunch on here ,well I am sure I will get good advice .i am 69 in January always been fit and active ,still am at the moment had a very nasty dry cough virus still have it but not as bad as it was.but X-rays showed emphasemia according to the doctor but have to have a breathing test with nurse to determine severity .i am an ex smoker so was not entirely shocked .doctor gave no instructions on how I can help myself etc so thought I would find it on the net .so glad I have found this site..looking forward to the posts .

Mucodyne does work, I take it 3 times a day.

Well a gun to the head would certainly work I presume you don't smoke? I have heard folk on here talk about mucodyne which you can get on prescription and is supposed to help. x

Thank you .today I am elated had my first good night uninterrupted sleep for 8 weeks .decided 4 days ago to take my Heath in my own hands .had some antibiotics which doctors gave me previously for a lung infection so decided this was worth a try and you know what .never felt better .doctor said I did not have any chest infection but strange is it not I fell so much better already
