So sorry Corsaking.

I know you were hoping the CT scan would show you were suitable for lung valves.

Try to think positive, not easy I know.

Keep well & be optimistic for the future 💐

I am sorry, re-reading what I put looks like I was being flippant and that was not my intention. What I was trying to say was that this chance only works for a very few people and that I hoped you could move on rather than be too disappointed. I went to St. James in Leeds.

I too got turned down on Monday but....although a tad disappointed, I received a chest x ray, a ct scan and nuclear scan, over a hour of breathing tests using the most modern and sophisticated equipment available plus a consultation with a top respiratory specialist.....I can't even get a spirometry test at my GP's so feel that I have nothing to complain about. My rejection was because my emphysema was very scattered and so no large areas to isolate. That may change after the scans have been sent to USA because they are interpreted by computer there, not the human eye. Another reason I was rejected, is because the scan outlines a nodule on on of my lungs and so the consultant has fast tracked me back to my local hospital for a PET Scan.....another thing I would have been totally unaware of until to late....so certainly no disappointment from me.

My diagostic scan, in 2011, said I had defuse emphasema. I had to look it up to find out what 'defuse' meant and it said it meant 'widespread'. So, I suppose it would be the same for me too. xx
