The Prescription.

I went to see my doctor

I wasn't feeling well

I asked him what is wrong with me

I'm hoping you will tell

Well now said my doctor

You've lived for far too long

I'll give you this prescription

Your life it will prolong

So I went out to the chemist

The prescription to collect

And hurried home to take it

To see what it's effect

Looking at the label

Before I went to bed

I could hardly believe it

'Elixir of Life' it said

I sat there on my bedside

I poured it into a cup

Before it even reached my lips

Midge went and woke me up

Was a silly jerk

As that’s what good friends do
