Hi Hippo, I'm sure when you go for your angiogram the consultant will be able to answer all your questions. Sorry I can't help but wish you well 🌺
If you have copd aswell you will still get sob but it won't be so bad . I was struggling every day before I had my stent put in now I have good and bad days hope all goes well for you

Thank you very much for your reply, it would be nice to have one good day without being frightened with this chest pain and out of breath, yes I am asthmatic which I could handle, but this has come as a bit of a shock and totally different to my coad there was no chest pain with this. im looking forward to getting this angiogram to sort it out roll on 16 Dec.
Thank you Carole

Good luck from me too - a friend's husband had this done and it changed his life - he hardly ever gets breathless now (he didn't have asthma or emphysema, but still think it will help you greatly). Please keep us updated after your angiogram. All best wishes x
HI Dedalus, just come back from hospital after my angiogram and my arteries are ok, so I am very confused about what is causing these severe chest pains when I go walking, I have got to loose weight as I am 18 st see if that will get rid of the problem if not they said they will check me out again, so hope for the best. Thank you for your concern.
Merry Xmas Stevex
That's good news on the one hand Steve, but still leaves a big question mark. I don't suppose it could be indigestion of some kind? My GP has just prescribed me a course of omeprazole to see if the pain I am currently experiencing (on and off) is acid reflux. If I don't experience the pain again during the course of the treatment then we'll know it's down to that. Your pain could be caused by a lot of things - go back to the GP for possible explanations and, hopefully, a solution. Best of luck and try not to worry too much. Merry Xmas to you too x
Thank you for your reply, I have been to my doctor be for as I have a lot of mucus on my chest or lungs for about a year and never clears so I thought this might be the cause of my chest pain, a lot of people on this web page were on Mucodyne to thin the mucus down, so I asked my Dr if I could try it he refused me and said I had to go and see a medicine specialist I have had a letter off the specialist to tell me that there is a 15 week waiting list and will let me know. My real concern about all this is the severe pain in my chest when it comes it stops me dead in my tracks and this is walking down hill its like a sledge hammer has hit my chest, anyway sorry about all this complaining its annoying not knowing the cause. Thank you for your welcomed opinions most greatful.
All best Steve
Please don't apologise about complaining Steve - it's not complaining at all - it's worry regarding the most valuable thing we have - our health, so it's totally understandable. I just hope you get somewhere soon and get the pain sorted out, or at least the reason for it. The unknown is always more difficult to handle than the known. Take care Steve and please keep us updated.
