Does anybody know if you have to pay a premium on your house/car insurance if you need to use oxygen at home and in the car? Thanks.

No you should not have any increase in your premiums but you should inform your insurers. I have been on oxygen for the past 6 years & have not had any increase in premium for either car or house.

You should notify both your car and house insurance that you are now carrying/ using oxygen. Some firms prefer that in writing. Never heard of a company charging extra on the policy.

I notified the Insurance Agents I use and told them about the oxygen being used at home and in the car and they haven't sent any invoices for an increase in premiums. An interesting topic, I await other inputs. Tatters
I informed my insurance companies of my oxygen use but neither raised my premium. I did buy stickers to stick on the back window of my car to say I was carrying oxygen, mainly in case of accidents, also have notice on my shed door that there is oxygen inside but none of this was asked for by my insurers. I was told when I had the Oxygen installed that I should notify both my House Insurance and my Car Insurance that I needed to use Oxygen BUT that in now way should I be asked to pay ANY EXTRA premiums at all! I politely told them this when I informed them. They have never charged me any extra premiums and I have renewed twice since with no increases.
I hope this helps.
Good Luck. I am with Liverpool Victoria they seem very competitive.
