Poor you! Can't be very comfortable for you. You're doing the right thing by seeing your GP who I'm sure will give you advice & possibly meds.

Let us know how you get on

Take care 🌹

Hope the doctor will give you some help. It sound as though you might have GERD. Meanwhile it might help you to sleep in a raised position, I have a bed wedge which raises me about 40 degrees, much better than pillows. For coughing at night slather Vicks vaporub over the soles of your feet, pop on some socks and you should sleep. Oh and if the doc doesn't give you any thing, taking an antacid like gaviscon just before bed can help.

Thank you evermore I will try the vic and I'm lucky to have a bed that wedges up the pillow end on various levels I'll also grab some galviscon when at the docs chemist next door😊

Great that you have a bed like that, should help a lot. The Vics really does work for most people, it sounds really odd and I doubted it, but when I was desperate from coughing all night, I tried it the next night and slept right through, I was amazed. I hope the doctor gives you some help as well.

So my first night that I feel I slept and its all down to Vic an evermore who would have thought that putting Vic on the soles of my feet then putting socks on would stop me coughing:-) off to work now
