What a special photo. You will need to keep that one safe to show everyone.

Must be a really tame little blue tit to land on your finger. Doesn't even look scared! Thanks for sharing & keep well x

How wonderful! I used to love watching all the birds in our previous garden but we have now moved to a brand new bungalow - and garden! - and we don't see many birds now. I still put out fresh bird food and just hope they will start to visit again. Jan x

Oh how fantastic. We love the blue tits. We get loads and can barely afford the food to feed them now! It is worth it though.

Awww that's so lovely!😃 I get birds come in now and then, it was a Robin last time and he sat in my hand for a little while before he flew away 😀💟💟💟💟 huff xxxx

in reply to hufferpuffer

Really huff?, this is the first time i have ever experienced a wild bird being friendly, i took a few photos but could only uploaded one on here, and lighting was not good to show of his true colours :( xxx

Lol Kazz, I think they come in accidentally because I have all the windows and door open! This year I've had swallows , a wren and a female robin and the last one was a male! I hate in when the pepastril bats come in and fly around and around, I freak out because I think it will go in my hair, heck my heart is pounding just thinking about it!

Once many moons ago I had 14 piglets running around because I'd left the door open, the kids thought it was hilarious! 😁🐖🐖🐖🐖🐖🐖🐖🐖🐖🐖🐖🐖🐖🐖

Omg, I could imagine the mess with the pigeons lol, well I am putting on the lottery this week, they say it comes in threes, I've had the birth of my grandaughter a week ago today, the little bird yesterday, and now 3 magpies flew over together today, so lottery going on tomorrow night :) xxx

great pic, kazz, :) its very unusual for a blue tit to be this tame,!!

i have had a robin sit on my foot, whist my foot was on the spade digging, only for a second though.

But i do have a wild ring necked wood pigeon [not a street pigeon ] come to me, feeds from my hand , each year, this is also unusual,

"Woody :) " has came here for the last four years, disappears all winter. i think there's a pic somewhere on the site of it.

I love things like this :)

love jimmy xx :)

Hi Jimmy, I never thought wild birds would be so tame, (well some) I have 2 wood pigeons for 3 yrs now this being the 3rd who build there nest in my tree and for 3 yrs its fell down before any chicks were born, this is the first yr tho they had eggs in it and one by one the eggs rolled out and then yesterday that nest fell down i feel sorry for them, so, next yr I'm going to get my so to put a wooden box nailed to the branches in hope they nest in there and successfuly have live chicks :) xx

Yes Kazz, These wood pigeons seem to just build a flimsy nest, the same happened here, they seem to like the conifers and fir trees, which are plentiful about me here , Then when its windy they lose their two eggs.

I haven't seen many blue tits about here lately, i used to get lots of green finches, gold finches etc. but not so much now,,i think the big magpies are taking over the place :)

love jimmy xx :)
