Hi peter hope you can persevere with Pirfenidone it is said to slow the progression of IPF down or hopefully reverse it it's early days yet so the longer you can tolerate it the better.. I was on it last year but unfortunately had a really bad reaction so had to stop treatment. I am now taking another new drug called Nintedanib and touch wood (I am touching my head ) it's just 2 tablets a day 1breakfast and 1 at evening meal . But we have to try and hope they help us until a cure if ever is found. Good luck
