Hi to all, have just joined the site and read some of your posts it's nice to know I'm not alone as I'm in stage 4 COPD and have been in bed now for 3 months I spend a lot of time on my iPad and came across this site will keep reading the posts

Hi, Dorothy thankyou that's so kind for you fast reply Im laying here in bed with such a sore tongue I have COPD and it's supposedly the medication that does it have to keep drinking as its so dry x

Hi Morrisey and welcome to the site.

Dry mouth and tongue and a build up of powder on the roof of your mouth. ..

I used to have all of it...

Here we go...tea spoon or even your tooth brush and scrape gently. ..then use a month wash.

Now every time I use an inhaler I spend 15 minutes brushing my teeth and rinsing with a month wash that doesn't send shock waves to my toes. And I can rinse for longer.

I also have a large tin of hard boild sweets in every room and in the car.

I found that Ricola work for me very well.

If you cannot manage all this...then just try the sweets.

make sure to rinse mouth out good and then drink gobs and gobs of water all day.

Are you able to get up and around because exercise makes COPD better on you no matter how little.
