Since I was diagnosed COPD 14 months ago I have not slept for more than four hours a night and that is in two stretches. Strange how I just cannot sleep, I get really desperate most nights. I have also gone off certain foods and the smell of them. Even mayonnaise, home made or shop bought, makes me nauseous, and I can only really enjoy chicken now as any other meat smells awful. I " accidently " tipped out one my husband's aftershaves into the wash basin because I couldn't bear it. Anyone else has these dislikes now? Polly
I also find some foods make me nauseous, with intermittent violent bouts of vomiting but this has occurred in last couple of years. I now take Omeprazole which helps.
I understand where you are coming from about perfumes I have a teenage son who think you need to put half a can of deodorant on in the mornings he does it in his bedroom but you can smell it downstairs in the kitchen that makes me short of breath . I suppose I been lucky since I been diagnosed food always seem to taste same to me only thing that gets me is being short of breath ,,
My girlfriend just one year past teens..and she really does take my breath away ...This morning she put on her perfume when I come down to the kitchen and I could still smell it.
I can't go to sleep. I have tired all kinds of sleeping pills my last one was zolpidem tart12.5. I don't take a nap in the day and I can go three days and nights with out any sleep. Does anyone else have this problem. I don't know what else to do. The doctor can't order anything else or stronger. Any advice anyone can give me?
