Hi there all, if any of you are on Oxygen the small one in a bag/back pack,

Do you know if there is a small trolley that you can pull around with the Oxygen

On it.The cylinder gets a bit heavy after a while.

Thank you

Gibbo.

Hi gibbo yes there is a trolley I got mine from air liquid who provide my oxygen it's free just ask them or your respitary nurse . I found the cylinder got too heavy when my condition worsened I've also bought one but that cost £100 of internet called Sidekick. I would try for free one first the wheels are stronger. Good luck

I had one from my Baywater who provide my oxygen but it was a bit heavy for me so I bought one off Ebay it is a luggage trolley a bit bigger but lighter, I took all the removable straps off the case and just use a couple of Velcro strips to hold it onto the trolley.

take care

Hi

Your provider will supply a trolley, but they are more suited for the larger cylinder with the flat bottom.

As yours a rounded bottom?

They can still be used, with a bit of packing, the engineer may have some suggestions.

You may have to ask your respitory nurse to order on your behalf.

I use a rollator. Its really good gives me something to hold on to and gives me more confidence. My physio gave me one. M x

I find the small backpack light enough but my provider has just supplied me with a trolley for the CD size. Although I've used these for a couple of years I thought I'd make life a bit easier for myself.

Hello Gibbo, I have the lightest bottles and the back pack holders don't last they always rip and fray. I had a trolley from the oxy delivery man.

I have one I think I paid £45 for it from liquid air some years ago, and use one of them stretch bands with the hook on either end to keep it on the trolley.

I also found that the trolley keep trying to close on me, lucky my husband was a sheetmetal worker and sorted it out for me, it was that the plate that the bottle sat on was too long so my husband took it to work took the plate off cut it down to size and welded it back on so much better

Hi Gibbo, I don't know what you mean by small but there are two regular portable sizes. Freedom 400 and tiny Freedom 200. Both can be backpacked but the trolley usually fits the 400.

Regardless your first call should be to your Respiratory Nurse for advise. She will know which your prescription is for. Tell her that the backpack is too difficult for you and ask whether a change of cylinder size or a trolley would be best to try. She can then authorise it and notify your Ox ygen Supplier to change your order. HTH. Regards, Rib
