Morning I had my appointment with the oncologist yesterday she is a lovely caring lady but not able to tell me anything as waiting for the report to come from the surgeon who dealt with my op but as they say no news is good news, so not worried, have to wait now for another appointment for a scan, so its get on with the summer.
The sun down here in Devon is shining brightly and already nice and warm so I hope you all have the same.
An old man was asked in an interview how he managed to look so young and fit at 100 yrs old. He replied that when he was in the navy he went to the Far East and went into a herbalist shop and the man there said if you want to live a young and long life you need to have a teaspoon of gun powder in your tea each day, so that's what he did without fail.
Not long after the interview the old chap passed away. He left behind eight children, 16 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and a 56 foot crater where the crematorium used to be.
Keep smiling be back in a couple of days I hope. Fred aka smiler xxx

Good morning Fred, you are sounding bright yourself, got me giggling this morning.
What a beautiful day, the sun is shining here already, I am off out with my daughters this morning, we are going to an old fashioned tea shop called Orange Mabel Vintage Tearooms for a tea and cakes treat, really looking forward to it.
Hi Fred, well this had cheered me up, so glad to see you back. We have missed you. The sun is shining here too, it didn't once in scotland. Sorry you are having to cope with so much Fred, life sometimes is not fair is it. I love the joke , Fred. Thankyou love Margaret x
Good evening mr smiley, that was a funny joke, just imagine it! It's winter in Oz, but it doesn't get that cold really. Your right about no news is good news if there was something there you would soon know about it. Hope family are doing ok.
Morning Pal lovely day here in Kent. That's the spirit Fred. Had my contrast scan Thursday have to wait till 14th July for results when I see Consultant. My Head Oncologist is a lovely Lady too. Saw here unexpectantly while waiting for the lift to Chemo yesterday. Boosted me up.
Hahahoho! Smilers back with a bang! what a great joke I'm grinning ear to ear!
So glad your appointments are all done for now
It's going to be a scorcher here today I think, there certainly is a bright golden haze and a purple haze here as I am mid way through a painting of Jimmy Hendrix lol!
It's so good to see you Fred, sending millions of hugs and x's, huff xxxx
So good to have you back Fred, and loved today's joke - even though it's taken me until the afternoon to get round to reading it 😊😊. Where do the hours go! Sincerely hope that your results are good but, as you say, you've got the summer to enjoy. Take care and enjoy the rest of your day. Jan xx
Hi Fred. I agree no news is good news. I once had a message to ring the doctor immediately, worried stiff I rang to find out that the message should have been to ring for a non urgent appointment. A good joke, enjoy the weather while it last.
" Hehehehe! Fred..I am that..." Golden haze over the Meadow "....I wish..But i am wishing.. and willing you to continue to feel better each and every day...Loved your joke.lol.....Fred!...Have a lovely relaxing weekend... just like i am going to be doing...xx and ((hugs)) ...Megan..xx"
Good morning Fred, sorry your appointment wasn't fruitful, but I am sure it will all get sorted soon. Your optimism is still shining through with that wicked sense of humor of yours, enjoy the summer not so good here today showery. But tomorrow promises more sun, needed the garden watering anyway so don't mind a little shower, better get umberella out either for showers or as a parasol, be prepared as the scouts say xxx
Hi, Smiler, so good to see you back. I don't post often, but do come in each day to see how folks are. I was very worried about you when you went mia, and am very pleased to see you are back with your usual positive self. I hope things are on the up for you and your family now, and wish you all the best. Your jokes are always brilliant, I often relay them to my family, and they give us all a giggle, keep them coming when you feel able. Lovely day here today, just finished dinner, Hubby doing pots, so going to sit in garden for a while and read my book.
Thanks Christine for that I am pleased to be in the mood again to be able to pop in now and again and full time ish before to long. Keep smiling I always love lots of hugs lol Love Fred
Hi there Sheila thank you for your thoughts and kind words, I have finished treatment at the moment and have another scan beginning of next month and then see the oncologist to see what treatment they will have lined up for me as they will not do the radio frequency ablation anymore because of possible side effects after the amount of procedures I have had. I am still sorting out other family members problems and illnesses but getting sorted. I will return to you all soon as you are all such lovely people.
As for Joyln (Lyn) I have spoke with her and she is taking some time out and going to enjoy summer and I can not blame her as its still early times since her husband passed.
Thanks again Love and hugs...........Keep smiling Fred aka smiler xxx
Thank you Fred for letting me know you and Joyln are ok.
You both are missed, I understand Joyln taking time out I too miss my husband. give her our love when you next talk.
I have not long finished my course of Sterioatic ablation radiotherapy. ( not spelt right ) but hope you know it.. Fred is it the same as what you had ?
The treatment I have been having these last couple of years is done under a general and they go in through my back and into the lung and burn the tumours then a month later do the same to the other lung. When I get to speak with Joyln I will pass on your wishes. Right must go as Margaret is calling.
