Tongue disorder.

Hi. Wonder if anyone as heard of this. My husband as just had a video barium swallow due to 12 infections since November. All H influenza. The video showed up deformed tongue waiting to see neurologist. Weak muscles in the chest through years of coughing with copd. Silent reflux. Waiting to see ent specialist. Told to use thick and easy and blend all food due to chance of choking. He is so fed up.

I have always got a sore tongue I have been given nystan liquid , it clears up for a little while then comes back . Then they gave me diffucan mouthwash same with that ??

Alans tongue is deformed. They say from the video its not working right. Did not realise that eating and swallowing was so complicated. kind regards

If it's any help to you and your husband, I know that Wiltshire Farm Foods produce puréed meals....they have a website. My mother used to order their frozen meals and they were delivered to her kitchen to be reheated when needed.

That is if you live in the UK.

i guess it may be cheaper to purée your own , but they could be useful .
