Any ideas on what's causing my dizziness?

Mostly in the car. Been this way all week. Fine at home. Any of you have this problem? Thanks for any suggestions. ☺☺Rubyxx

Hello Ruby, sorry but it could be several reasons- anxiety, seatbelt pressure, circulation, medications, oxygen level dropping due to the exertion of getting to and imto the car, heat etc, First worry when read your post is,- are you the driver of the car? As the dizziness could be a real danger please speak to your doctor, take care, x

Hi Chelynda

Some of those things are Pretty scarey. I don't get out of breath and my oxygen level is good. Don't know about circulation.

Bevvy did mention my ears. My one ear did pop a couple times lately. Maybe? Benadryl seemed to help it today.

Morning Ruby, I didnt mean to scare you with my reply to your post. I didnt mean that your dizziness was due to a dangerous cause, I was more concerned for you if you were feeling dizzy whilst you were driving a car. Great to read that Benadryl helped you, take care, lynda x

Hi ruby, first thing came to mind was blood pressure, check with your nurse, are u over weight? I get into my car and am short of oxy but feel out of breath not dizzy,so I rest for awhile before I take off, I only drive locally. Somtimes if I feel stressed I get dizzy .

Hi Colors

I don't eat much. Would blood sugar do that?

It could be an inner ear problem but I agree with colours23 it does look like blood pressure. I get it if I a relaxed and then get up I can bounce off the walls. i also have a few heart problems which can do the same.

Hi Offcut

Blood pressure is good. Ear did pop a couple times lately. I took benadryl today and it didn't happen. Think my ear maybe?

😊😀 xx

Funny you should mention that Ruby but Pete has been feeling light headed for a few weeks now. He has a GP appointment on 2nd June so will get him checked out then. He puts it down to his low blood pressure (on meds for high blood pressure) caused by his water tablet. Not sure, but hope to find out soon.

It could be lots of things so do get checked out if it persists. xxxx

Hi Sassy

As I told the others, Benadryl helped today . We went for a long drive. I was dreading it.

Took that and I was ok. I wasn't driving

I suspect you have an ear infection. Dizziness mainly happening in car and not at home. Of course you are moving much more in car.possibly inner ear infection.....

Hi Bevvy

I'm thinking you may be right.

Yesterday I was really bad in the car. Today we went on a fairly long drive and I took benadryl

first. I was ok. I have been sneezing some lately and my ear popped a couple times. Don't know. My ears not blocked or anything. Think that could be it?

You need to go to GP for prescription but if that difficult for now try travel sickness pills. What GP prescribes for inner ear infection is similar. I had bouts of labyrentitus (not spelt right!) and that what given. You need something like stemil tabs.....

Do you still have trouble? Is it a chronic thing?

At one point I seemed to have loads of recurrent bouts one after the other. Would clear up then get it again couple of months later. Was so bad had to see specialist to see if had Meneriers disease. Thankfully I don't and bouts cleared up and not had any problems for years now.

Sure you will be fine. I know several people that had this, one only a couple of weeks ago. Been horrible for them at the time but with right meds has cleared up and no recurrent bouts.
