I think it depends where you live , my daughter had one yesterday and has been told to go to see her doctor in a weeks time yet I was told straight away at the same hospital !

Take care

Make sure you have a chat with your gp when you get the results and i would ask for a referral to a consultant x

Hello, yes, there are a lot of different brand names of inhalers and also different doses/strengths in the preventive ones.

There are two actual types: the preventer taken 2xdaily and the rescue one (usually blue), this one is taken as & when you need it as a quick fix to open your airways when you're particularly SOB or before exercise or before going out in extreme temperatures.

It's really essential to take the preventive properly, there are clips on YouTube to show you. ... I found out on my PR course (pulmonary rehab = PR) that I'd been taking my Seretide wrongly for three years, no wonder I was in a bad way!

Good luck with tests.

Make sure you ask for a referral don't take no for a answer x

I use spiriva once in the morning, Seretide twice in the morning and twice at night, and the blue one. Also nebulise saline. I have Bronchiectasis, not COPD.
